EirGrid, the independent electricity Transmission System Operator in Ireland, was unambiguous about its communications objectives for its annual report – to convey with clarity and impact the organisation’s key objectives of creating a more secure, expanded power system, and growing renewables as an energy source for the Irish economy, while at the same time using the annual report to strengthen its brand presence. With its highly textural, foil-blocked typographic cover that spells out the company’s raison-d’etre and its stunning aerial photography, Red Dog’s design for the piece achieve these commercial objectives in an engaging, original and memorable way.
