After a hectic weekend attending and speaking at Offset 2018 in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre, we made our way to London last Monday (March 26th) for the 2018 Transform Awards Europe which recognised the best in European brand design, implementation, strategy and conceptualisation.

Sitting among the great and the good of European design (as well as a few friends from closer to home) we were delighted to bag a Silver Award in the ‘Best visual identity by a charity, NGO or non-profit’ category for our rebrand for Jhpiego. We weren’t happy just for ourselves but also for everyone in Jhpiego who, in addition to being a fantastic organisation, is a brilliant client to work with too. The night was extra-special for us because Melody McCoy, Jhpiego’s Vice President of External Relations and Communication, had taken the considerable longer journey from Baltimore, Maryland, to attend the ceremony with us.

Speaking about the awards, Brittany Golob, editor of Transform magazine, said: “For each and every winner of the Transform Awards, there is a story of dedication, brilliant ideas, creative excellence and strategic craft. This year’s winners are the best in class in European rebranding and brand development and represent the impact great branding can have on an organisation.” We couldn’t have put it better ourselves!

Congratulations also to our friends in Richards Dee and Dynamo who also got to pack awards in their luggage before returning from London. It really is very encouraging to see three Irish Design agencies competing – and winning – on the international stage. Well done all of us!
